Horticulture
On Tuesday 5th November, our two Horticulture classes travelled to the National Botanical Gardens in
Glasnevin, where they received a guided tour and a workshop.
Road Safety class visit to
Carnew Fire Station
The two Road Safety classes had a very
worthwhile visit to Carnew Fire Station
in October where they got to
experience first-hand what happens
when attending the scene of a mock
accident and CPR training.
ESS Trip to Rosslare Strand
On October 7th and 11th, our TYs travelled to Rosslare for a field trip.
Between showers, students enjoyed sunny spells whilst completing
a coastal study as part of their ESS module.
Students tested wave frequency, the direction of longshore drift, and
the impact of groynes.
Students also examined a sample of the deposition and took a
profile of the beach.
