TY NEWS
#ThinkLanguages Week
At the end of November, we celebrated ‘Think Languages’ week in Coláiste Bhríde. This week highlights
the importance of studying a language and the doors that a language can open for students.
Throughout the week, Ms Gahan shared popular expressions over the intercom in various languages.
Some of our TY students visited junior language classes and worked with them on grammar points
and vocabulary.
On Friday we rounded off our week with a workshop for all TY students. The students watched the
opening ceremony which followed the language learning journeys of a number of young people. The
students played a game of Kahoot against schools across the country which was great fun. An origami
workshop was one of the big successes of the day with our students displaying wonderful creativity.
