First Year Boys’ Football
The first year squad began their Coláiste Bhríde football careers with a blitz that was held every
Wednesday afternoon from September to Halloween. This hotly contested format, organised by our TY
future leaders, allowed coaches to survey the talent within the group.
The team travelled to Bunclody to take on FCJ in two friendly yet competitive games, winning one and
losing one on the day.
They then competed in the South East Championship, losing to CCM in Wicklow and winning against
Creagh College to set up a semi final which will take place after Christmas. In the Wicklow
championship they have played one game so far, defeating St Kevin’s, Dunlavin in Carnew. We are
excited to see how far this talented team can progress after Christmas and indeed beyond.
