Senior Camogie
The senior camogie team represented Coláiste Bhríde with great distinction throughout the year. They
qualified from their group in the Leinster B Championship after games with FCJ, Bunclody, Coláiste
Bríde, Enniscorthy and Presentation College, Wexford. In the quarter final they dispatched of a Loreto,
Trim side comfortably with a comprehensive away victory. In the Leinster Semifinal the girls suffered
an agonisingly close loss to Scoil Mhuire, Johnstown in December. Like in every tight game, some luck,
and the bounce of a ball make a stark difference. It didn’t fall on the Carnew side that day. That
particular Johnstown team went on to win Leinster and All Ireland Honours later in the year.
Equestrian
Our equestrian team has had a fantastic season, with strong
performances in both the TRI Equestarian Open teams and Hopoti
Novice teams' competitions. Our students excelled in the individual
competitions throughout the year, particularly Chloe Walsh who
represented Coláiste Bhríde in the 110m final in CoilÒg Equestrian
this past March. We would also like to extend a huge thank you
and warm farewell to our Sixth-Year students, Cait Kenny and Cian
Byrne. Both Cait and Cian have been invaluable members of the
team during their time in Coláiste Bhríde. We wish them every
success in the future, both in and out of the saddle.
Well done to all involved in our equestrian club this yearand as
we look ahead to the summer season, we wish all our riders
continued success in their equestrian pursuits.
