U16 boys Football
The U16 boys football team qualified for the South Leinster semi-final with Dunlavin after defeating
Creagh College, Gorey and PDLS, Bagenalstown in the group stages.
Unfortunately, the side was defeated by Dunlavin in the semi-final despite a late surge to overturn the
deficit.
Junior Boys Football
The Junior boys football team
defeated Dunlavin comfortably in
their first round game on a very
blustery day. In the second group
game they fell to a strong Baltinglass
side which saw them qualify second in
the group. This resulted in a semi-final
showdown with Coláiste Chill
Mhantáin. After a very spirited
performance the Canew boys
unfortunately fell short. Once again,
these players have made great strides
forward this year and there are more
promising days ahead.
