Pi Math Quiz
Twenty 3rd year students travelled to Glenart College, Arklow to take part in the Maths Teachers’
Association Pi Quiz. The five teams battled it out through eight rounds of challenging questions. The
team of Ruairc Healy, Alex Sweetman McDonald, Liam Kenny and Alex Bailey finished with an excellent
score, qualifying for the tie-breaker and ensuring second place overall. A huge achievement for these
wonderful mathematicians.
TY Mini Company represents Co Wicklow at National Final
Well done to Daniel Duffy and Dominic
O'Loughlin who with their company
Vest Pro, were awarded overall senior
category winners of the Wicklow
Student Enterprise Awards 2025. They
advanced to the National final in
Mullingar in May where they pitched their
business idea against schools from all thirty-two
counties. Daniel and Dominic presented their business
plan to the judges during their interview and impressed
with their unique sales pitch and expansive target
market base. Well done to both students who
represented their school and county on the national
stage, a great experience for them both.
