Meitheal Leader Activities
Our current first years have been very fortunate to have such a wonderful group of 6th year Meitheal
leaders to offer them support and guidance for the year.
Our Meitheal leaders have had a daily presence at roll call to help first years with any issues as well as
providing emotional support and reassurance to any students they felt needed the extra bit of
attention. They also encouraged students to get involved with extra-curricular activities and to do their
best in class.
Lunchtime activities took place every second week for base classes, these were well planned to
encourage students to get to know each other and to encourage team building skills and bonding
amongst students.
Our Meitheal leaders attended a special presentation ceremony in the Riverside Park Hotel
Enniscorthy on the 21st January where they were presented with their recognition certificates to mark
the contributions in support of first year students.
