TY NEWS
Rubbish Film Festival
TY students from the art class participated in the Rubbish Film Festival,
an event dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and
sustainability through the medium of film.
It is renowned for showcasing compelling stories and innovative filmmaking that highlights global
and local environmental issues. It offers a platform for young filmmakers, environmentalists, and
school communities to come together to explore and discuss the pressing environmental challenges
of our time, including climate change, pollution, and conservation efforts.
The one-minute films and posters,
developed and produced by
students from all over Wicklow,
were of an extremely high standard
and students were commended for
their hard work and dedication to
the programme. The Coláiste Bhríde
group’s film was shown on the TY
Celebration evening.
TY Drama
On the 31st of January, Coláiste
Bhríde was proud to present this
year's TY drama productions "Grannies and Gardai" and "10
things I Hate about You". Our
current crop of aspiring actors and
crew worked tirelessly to rehearse
and prepare for both productions.
The performances were excellent
as we gave a platform to the many
talents of our budding TY
thespians. It was fantastic to see a
great crowd support them all on
what was a very enjoyable and
entertaining night.
