Senior Boys’ Football
During the school year almost fifty boys represented Coláiste Bhríde in both Leinster and Wicklow
senior competitions. The Senior B competition gave a lot of younger footballers an opportunity to
experience the standard and challenge of senior football. This experience will stand to them next year.
This panel captained by James Smyth was eventually knocked out of the Wicklow Championship at
the quarter final stage.
The Senior A panel had a year that left a sweet and sour taste in everyone’s mouth. This panel showed
great promise as they qualified for both the South Leinster C and Wicklow A Finals. Unfortunately, both
finals ended in defeat. This panel captained by Sammy Harpur represented the school very well all year
displaying a fine range of skills. With so many of this panel back again next year they certainly will be a
force to be reckoned with.
