Law Trip to the Central Criminal Court
On Thursday, 19th December and Monday 28th April, 47 of our Transition Year students had the
opportunity to visit the Central Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin.
The aim of the trip was to provide the students with a greater understanding of the Irish courts
system. Students had the opportunity to partake in a mock trial facilitated by a barrister of the Courts
Service. This allowed them to fulfil various courtroom roles including a judge, barristers, solicitors,
witnesses, and members of the jury. In addition, our students and teachers were fortunate enough to
sit in on actual court proceedings.
A truly worthwhile and eye-opening experience!
