Fighting Words Workshops
The Fighting Words programme is a series of
creative writing workshops run in Arklow Library.
The programme helps and encourages students of
all ages to develop their writing skills and to
explore their love of writing.
The aim of the programme is to use the practice of
writing and storytelling, to strengthen teenagers to
be resilient and creative. All TY classes had the
opportunity to travel and avail of the programme
this year.
TYs attend Youth Biodiversity Conference
On Wednesday, 2nd April, TY students attended the inaugural West Wicklow Youth Biodiversity
Conference, hosted by Blessington Comminity College.
Hosted by RTÉ Radios’ Ruth Scott, students engaged with talks from experts such as biologist and
author Éanna ní Lamhna, Maynooth University’s Dr. Jim Carolan and EcoEye’s Anja Murray. We look
forward to collaborating with the associated schools on our ongoing biodiversity journey.
