Digital Portfolios
Students worked hard on their Digital Portfolios all year with the date of submission closing at the
start of May. Digital Portfolios provide an opportunity for students to catalogue their many
experiences and achievements throughout the TY year and allow them reflect on the progress they
made on the goals identified at the start of the year.
The results of their endeavours are very impressive. Class teachers have assessed the work submitted
and chosen winners in each class and an overall year group winner.
Prizes were presented at our TY Celebration Evening on the 21st of May.
Gaisce Walk
On Thursday and Friday, the 10th & 11th April, 15 TY students completed the adventure part of their
Gaisce President’s Award. They trekked from Croghan Moire to Glenmalure on Day 1 and on Day 2 they
travelled from Glenmalure to Glendalough around the scenic Wicklow hillsides as part of their Bronze
Medal Award. The weather was glorious as they hiked. Students were escorted by their teachers, Ms
Tina Walsh and Mr. Robert Fitzgerald.
