Senior Ladies’ Football
It was an exceptional year for our Senior Ladies Football team. On the 22nd of January, the team
defeated St Vincent’s Dundalk to be crowned Leinster 'C' Champions, proudly bringing the perpetual
cup back to Coláiste Bhríde. Sarah Doyle accepted the cup in her role as captain, while Áine Darcy was
named Player of the Match. The team went on to represent the school in the All-Ireland series, where
they were narrowly defeated by Bailieborough Community School, who subsequently went on to win
the competition.
Hockey
This year saw the return of hockey to Coláiste Bhríde.
The first- and second-year girls spent the first few
months of the school year learning the skills and rules
of the sport. The league kicked off in January where
the Coláiste Bhríde teams took on Loreto Kilkenny,
Loretto Wexford and Presentation College, Kilkenny.
Both groups put on fine performances throughout the
season and displayed promising new talent. This
leaves us hopeful for a successful season next year.
