ESS Trips to Rosslare
All Transition year students enjoyed an educational Þeld trip to Rosslare Strand in October. During
their stay they carried out hands-on coastal geography work - studying wave patterns, measuring
beach proÞles, analysing beach material, and investigating longshore drift and human impact on the
shoreline. The trip gave students a chance to learn outside the classroom, explore a scenic Irish
coastline, and deepen their understanding of coastal processes in an engaging, real-world setting.
T.Y. Leadership
The TY Leadership Group at Coláiste Bhríde
Carnew plays a central role in supporting and
promoting school life for their peers. This year,
the team of Faye O’Brien, Sophie Reilly,
Alex Penston, and Brodie O’Sullivan have been
coordinating gilets for the TY class of 2025/26,
managing the school’s sports social media, and
promoting school teams during big matches.
They also have the exciting responsibility of
welcoming and interviewing visiting sports
stars, including Oisín McConville. Throughout
the year, the group has been heavily involved in
organising events and activities for the TY
programme, helping to ensure a fun, engaging,
and memorable year for all students.
