Concert Band Mobility to Italy
On November 12, a group of 34 students and 4 teachers travelled to Mondovì, Italy, for a memorable
music exchange as part of the Erasmus+ programme. During their visit, the group collaborated with
fellow musicians from Liceo Vasco Beccaria Gavone. Both ensembles spent several days rehearsing
together, preparing a beautiful and varied selection of music for a joint performance.
The highlight of the trip was the fantastic Friday night concert, where Mr Pat Brennan and Ms Anna
Gahan acted as compères. Ms Gahan put her Italian skills to excellent use, providing translations for
Mr Brennan and helping ensure the evening ran smoothly. In addition to their musical work, the
school band enjoyed some sightseeing. They visited the impressive Grotto di Bossea caves and
explored MondovÍ, taking in its stunning churches and scenic views.
A sincere thank-you goes to Ms Glynn, Mr Callanan, Mr Dunne and Mr Brennan for their dedication,
organisation and support, all of which made the trip such a great success
