Focus Ireland Sleepover
Our school held a lively Focus Ireland Sleepover in aid of Pieta House, and while it was meant to be a
sleep-out, very little actual sleeping took place. Armed with sleeping bags, hoodies, and plenty of
snacks, students settled in for a night on the school grounds. Between late-night chats, games, music,
and the occasional attempt to get comfortable, the group kept spirits high well into the early hours.
Teachers supervised (and tried, unsuccessfully, to convince everyone to sleep), while students enjoyed
the rare chance to be in school after dark. Despite the lack of rest, the event was a great success,
raising funds for Pieta House and giving students a memorable, laughter-Þlled experience with a
meaningful purpose behind it.

designed to support and inspire
gifted learners within our school
community. The session was led
by Fidelma, author of The Gifted
Learner, a comprehensive
introduction to nurturing highability students. Her book
outlines effective approaches to
unlocking the potential of gifted
learners, enabling their abilities
to develop into celebrated
talents that enrich both their
own lives and the lives of others.
