1st Year Boys Football
Coached by Mr Lambert and Mr Gleeson, the First Year
Boys Football team have enjoyed a strong and
encouraging start to their season, playing three games
so far. They began with a valuable practice match
against FCJ Bunclody, which gave the full panel an
opportunity to settle in and gain experience. The team
then opened their Wicklow championship campaign
with an impressive win over St Kevin’s Dunlavin,
followed by an excellent performance in their Þrst
Leinster championship outing, where they secured
another victory against Coláiste Chill Mhantáin,
Wicklow. A particular highlight of the term has been the
involvement of the entire panel, with every player
getting the chance to represent the school in these
early Þxtures. The squad now look ahead to their
upcoming matches facing Scoil Chonglais, Baltinglass
in the Wicklow championship and Cross and Passion,
Kilcullen, in the Leinster competition, as they continue
to develop as a promising team for the future.
2nd Year Boys Football
Our second year football team, coached by Mr Sharry and Mr Dolan, have enjoyed an excellent term in
the South Leinster Championship, producing strong performances throughout the group stage with
impressive wins over Borris Community College away (11-14 to 5-5), and Coláiste Chill Mhantáin in
Shillelagh (9-10 to 2-7), to Þnish top of their group. They carried this momentum into the quarter Þnal,
delivering a dominant 3-16 to 0-5 victory against PDLS Bagenalstown in Coolkenno.
The squad showed consistent improvement and great teamwork throughout, to progress to the South
