TY UPDATES
Baltinglass Outdoor Pursuits Trip:
The TY class of 2025-26 got off to a great start for
their exciting year ahead with a team building trip
to Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre.
They got to experience ziplining, archery, kayaking,
orienteering and rock climbing on the day. While
the weather was not always pleasant, it did not
dampen the students’ enthusiasm and spirit as
they threw themselves in the many and varied
activities on offer.
Careers Trip to DCU Open Day:
On Friday, 14 November our TYs travelled to Dublin City University to participate in
the DCU Open Day, attending career and course talks and generally getting a sense
of college life around the campus. Such a day always promises to be informative,
and it is an ideal opportunity for TYs to explore a college campus as they prepare to
make important subject choices in the weeks ahead.
Students got to see Þrst-hand the different courses of study as they attended the course information
lectures. Students also witnessed the recreational aspect of the college by visiting the Student Union
Hub, sports facilities and scientiÞc labs.
