Since the inception of our accreditation in 2023, nearly twenty members of our school staf have
embraced the opportunity to travel abroad and participate in approved Erasmus courses across a
range of disciplines.
These courses, each lasting one week, are attended during the teachers' free time, typically over midterm breaks.
The variety of courses available is extensive and diverse, with a typical schedule comprising structured
classes held over six half-days, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Evening sessions are reserved for cultural
and team-building activities, ofering participants from across Europe the chance to network, share
experiences, and engage socially.
At Coláiste Bhríde, our staf have participated in courses that enrich many areas of our broad
curriculum. Upon returning from these mobilities, key strategies and approaches are shared with the
broader staf during our annual 'Teach Meet' held every October.
Examples include:
• Spanish language teaching at beginner and intermediate levels.
• Advanced classroom techniques for French teachers
• Experiential learning methodologies.
• 3D printing and robotics.
• Integrating ICT in the classroom.
• Exploring AI applications for educational use.
